MeOH and EtOH either isolated or mixed with other oxygenated organic compounds are produced by means of catalytic action between CO and H2, the reacting gases being caused to flow through a closed circuit by means of an apparatus having no moving parts and utilizing therein the kinetic energy obtained by transformation of part of the potential energy of the mixture admitted into the circuit under higher pressure than the pressure of the circuit. |
