Waxlike products easily emulsifiable with aqueous alkaline solutions and obtained by oxidation of the paraffins occurring in the catalytic synthesis of hydrocarbon from CO and H₂ (melting>90º) until a saponification number of about 45-60 is attained and in such a manner that the ratio of sponification to acid number lie 1.5 : 1-2 :1.
