Antiknock motor fuel is made from the hydrocarbons b. 60º-100º obtained by synthesis from CO and H₂ by converting the hydrocarbons with H halide into halogenides, splitting off H halide and dehydrogenating. This is an addition to German Patent Appl. B 200,039, (abs. 213).
