C₂H₄, C₂H₆, and other gases are separated from CO₂ by adsorption, then desorption. The adsorption is conducted at a pressure inversely proportional to the CO₂ content of the gaseous mixture. The basis for this proportion is the following relation: For a CO₂ content of 5% by volume, a maximum pressure of 6 atm. is used.
