      Catalyst for conversion of CO into other products, as in the water-gas shift reaction or synthesis of CH4, comprises Ni, a support, for example kieselguhr, and a difficulty reducible metal oxide, such as ThO2 or MgO, in which is incorporated a small amount of a phosphate, such as NaPO3 or K3PO4.
