Following a review of the literature, experiments are described that deal with the reactions of CO and of CO2 and C2H2 in the presence of catalysts, the object of which is to aid in explaining the origin of higher hydrocarbons in the reduction of CO and of CO2 by H2. The gaseous mixture was passed over the catalyst at constant temperature and the compositions of the entering and issuing gases were compared. SANDS, A. E. See abs. 144a. |
