        In an attempt to create independence from imported oil, a Fischer-Tropsch plant was completed in 1932 at Fushun with an output of 100,000,000 l. per year, and another will be completed in 1938 at Kyushu by the Mitsui Mining Co. with an output of 50,000,000 l. per year.
