2707. PIRSON, M. [Production of Gasoline From Coal.] Rev. ind. minerale, No. 394, 1937, pp. 249-263; Chem. Abs., vol. 31, 1937, p. 5538. Development of the process of coal hydrogenation is reviewed. The net cost of motor fuel produced by this process, or by the Fischer-Tropsch process, is estimated as approximately 20 pf. per l. It is claimed that the synthetic motor-fuel industry could not exist without Government subsidies, but development of processes would be important in case of war. PISARZHEVSKAYA, N. P.
