        In Government Gazette, October 9, 1948, announcement was made of license issued to Angio Transvaal Consolidated Investment Co., Ltd., for manufacture of liquid fuels and oils from coal.  The plant is to have an approximate capacity of 76,000,000 gal. of liquid fuel and oil per yr.  It will operate a process for catalytic conversion of synthetic gases from carbon-bearing material into petroleumlike hydrocarbons.  Production is to begin within 4 yr.  The authorized capital of the company will not exceed ₤13,000,000.
