        Prolonged dilatometric tests were made on Fe containing total C 3.5, Si 1.57, Mn 0.71, S 0.10, P 0.56%.  Examination of the structure and mechanical testing shows that this Fe is susceptible to graphitization at 450° after it is maintained for 700 hr. at this temperature, while its properties were noticeably changed.  However, a dilatometric test made in the usual way for a short time at temperatures <690° did not modify the sample.
