Soc. Chem. Ind. (Japan), vol. 48, 1945, p. 3-8; Chem. Abs., vol. 43, 1949, p. 2399.

With a catalyst of Fe 100 and diatomaceous earth 125 parts, and CO and H2 (1:1) at 270°-275° for a period of 2-4 hr., pressure increases the life of the catalyst and improves the yield of gasol, and especially the yield of oil.
