1905. KODAMA, S., MURATA, Y., AND HARA, I. Gasoline Synthesis From Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen. LXXI. Activity and Deactivation of Iron Catalysts. Jour. Soc. Chem. Ind. (Japan), vol. 50, 1947, pp. 119-120; Chem. Abs., vol. 44, 1950, p. 9135.
Gasoline was synthesized 29 hr. from CO and H2 in a molecular ratio of 1:1 at 250° with (A) Fe+12.8% Cu or (B) Fe+25% Cu+152% kieselguhr. The addition of K2CO3 and H3BO3 increased the activity of these catalysts. The optimum amount of K2CO3 was 1% for (A) and 2% for (B).
