1851.    ---------------.  [FUJIMURA, K. AND TSUNEOKA, S.]  Benzine Synthesis From Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen at Ordinary Pressures.  XIII.  Nickel Catalysts.  Jour. Soc. Chem. Ind. (Japan), vol. 36, suppl., 1933, pp. 119-121; Sci. Papers Inst. Phys. Chem. Research (Tokyo), vol. 22, 1933, pp. 242-247, 248-253; British Chem. Abs., 1933, B, p. 452; Chem. Abs., vol. 27, 1933, p. 3133.

Most effective temperatures were 190°-220°.  A catalysts of Ni+18% ThO2 gave 108 cc. liquid/m.3 of gas mixture.  Mn can be substituted for Th.  Small amounts of alkali carbonates were effective as promoters.  A catalyst of Ni+18% Mn+15 cc. Rb2CO3 (N/1400) also gave 108 cc. liquid.
