1661. ---------------. [KAMZOLKIN, V. P., AND LIVSHITZ, V. D.] [Poisoning Action of Water Vapor on Iron Catalysts for the Synthesis of Ammonia.] Jour. Chem. Ind. (U.S.S.R.), vol. 14, 1937, pp. 244-249; Chem. Abs., vol. 31, 1937, p. 4777.
H2O poisons all Fe catalysts, but its action is stronger on less active catalysts. Poisoning is greater at higher pressures and lower temperatures. It is due to destruction of active centers on the catalyst surface.
