       Describes mechanical installation and experimental chemical work on the semi-plant-scale production of MeOH from water gas and H₂ in 1922.  The best catalyzers were 90% Cu, 10% ZnO, Mn and Zn chromates.  High gas speed and high temperatures favored the formation of higher alcohols.
