Products of the reaction of CO and H2 in the presence of the catalysts Ni-Al, Ni-Co-Si and catalyst “a” (composition not disclosed) at 180°-200° were analyzed.  The mixture of gasoline and oil can yield a product boiling up to 200° in amounts of 60%.  The synthin consisted mainly of paraffin hydrocarbons with smaller amounts of unsaturated compounds and no naphthenes nor aromatic compounds, therefore, the synthin had a low antiknock value.  The residue boiling over 250° contained 57% of solid paraffin.  n-C5H12, C6H14, C7H16, C8H18, C9H20, C10H22 and C11H24 were found in the paraffin-hydrocarbon fraction.  Iso compounds were not found in the fractions boiling up to 200°. No cycloolefins nor diolefins were found.  12 refs.
