     During the production of thermoanthracite in the Miroshnichenko furnaces up to 20% of the anthracite is gasified.  By blowing with steam-O₂ or air-stream-O₂, the contents of CO and H₂ can be increased to yield a gas suitable for the synthesis of NH₃ or of MeOH.  Combined production of thermoanthracite and gas for the synthesis lowers the cost.
