Adsorption of H2O and air on activated charcoal was studied by measuring the magnetic susceptibility of the adsorbent containing air and H2O.  The value for pure H2O, -0.72X10-6, was found constant for adsorbed H2O also.  The value for air, +24.16X10-6, decreased slowly to +14.94X10-6 at 20°.
