                   Progress made in the operation of the improved Bureau of Mines reactor at Louisiana, Missouri.  The new reactor converts 75-85% of the synthesis gas to oil.  If conversion can be raised to 99%, the process can be operated in 1 stage instead of 2.  Overall costs are being reduced.
