                   Study of the activated adsorption of CO on ZnO at temperatures of 184° and higher shows that concurrently with the activated adsorption some decomposition into CO₂ and C occurs.  C deposited on the catalyst is removed by H₂ at 184° and above, presumably as CH₄.
