      The determination of van der Waals’ adsorption isotherms of gases close to their boiling points affords a convenient method of measuring the extent of surface of Fe-synthetic-NH₃ catalysts; low-temperature isotherms are given for N₂ at –195.8° and

      –183°,  for O₂, CO, and A at –183°, for CO₂ at –78.5° and for C₄H₁₀ at 0°.
