Reaction between CO2 and C at 800° and 925° has been studied.  Different forms of C were used.  The speed of reaction was greatest with wood charcoal and least with bone black.  As is the case at 650°, at 800° the decomposition eases when the composition of the gaseous mixture is the same as that obtained by the action of CO on Ni or Co oxide at the same temperature, in this case, 7% of CO2 and 93% of CO.  At 925° the proportion of CO2 is 4%.
