With enough time of contact the following reactions take place: CO+2H2=CH2OH; 2CO+2H2=CO2+CH4; and CO+3H2=CH4+H2O.  The reaction constant for the first reaction under the above conditions can be determined, and from the experiments the following relation is found:

6806

     log K = -35.38+--------+7.22 log T.
