Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance gas-liquid contact efficiency by improving gas dispersion, by adding gas dispersing function to the liquid recirculation pump arranged to the lower part of a reactor.

CONSTITUTION: Supplied gas 5 passes a gas nozzle 22 and once held in a gas holder 21. Thereafter, said gas is flooded from the lower circumferential part of the gas holder 21 by buoyancy to rise along the outer peripheral surface of the gas holder 21. The shearing force with a liquid is acted on the outer peripheral surface of the gas holder 21 and gas entering said part is finely pulverized by shearing action and formed into an extremely small gas bubble group which is, in turn, further flowed into a catalyst bed along the recirculation liquid stream 7 formed by an impeller 17. Only gas enters a gas supply nozzle 22 to prevent the liquid from flowing into a seal part 15.
