Synthesis is performed in presence of an Fe catalyst at 260°-370° and maximum of 4.2 atm. pressure. The ratio of CO:H2 is 1:0.5-3, preferably 1:1. If desired, N2 is added to the catalyst bed as inert gas. Ethylene and propylene are formed by the synthesis.
