3632. ----- [STEINSCHLAEGER, M.]  Water Gas and Like Synthesis gases.  British Patent 578,332, June 25, 1946.  Chem. Abs., vol. 41, 1947, p. 1831.

Discontinuous water-gas process for generating blue gas is improved by supplying the heat for gasification partly by supplying the heat for gasification partly by heating a hydrocarbon mixture by passage through a regenerator, previously heated by blow gas or producer gas, and passing this heated gas down through the fuel bed to complete the reforming partly through the fuel bed to complete the reforming partly carried out in the regenerator, and partly by preheating the coke fuel bed by blowing with O2 or O2-containing gases.  further heat may also be secured by recycling a portion of the hot make gases.  Heat is stored in the generator ash bed for use in superheating the steam or preheating the gas used in the later uprun.
