3629. ----- [STEINSCHLAEGER, M.]  Unsaturated Hydrocarbon Oils.  British Patent 581,174, Oct. 3, 1946, appl. filed Mar. 9, 1942.  Chem. Abs., vol. 41, 1947, p. 1830.

Water gas containing CO and H2 in a ratio of 1:1.5-2.1 by vol. is passed over a Co, Ni, or Fe catalyst at 150°-250° to give unsaturated oils and a residual gas.  The latter is mixed with natural gas of liquid hydrocarbons and then treated with CO2 and/or steam at 800°-1,500° to give a new synthesis gas which is treated like the original water gas.
