3503.   ------.  [SOCIETA ANON. PRODOTTI ITALIANI SINTETICI.]  Hydrocarbon Synthesis.  British Patent 655,827, 1951.  Fuel Abs., 1951, abs. 2900.

Fischer synthesis process uses a dense fluidized Fe catalyst, which becomes contaminated with waxy material formed during the synthesis.  A portion of the catalyst is continuously or intermittently withdrawn from the reaction zone and mixed with a liquid hydrocarbon fraction boiling in the gas oil range.  The slurry thus formed is hydrogenated.  The partly reduced and dewaxed catalyst and the hydrogenated slurry are separated, and the catalyst is recycled to the synthesis zone.
