PATENT

3489. ----- [STANDARD OIL COMPANY] Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis by Fluidized Catalyst.  British Patent 600,580, June 20, 1945, in United States Dec. 20, 1944.  British Abs., B, II, 1948, p. 447.

In the synthesis of hydrocarbons by the Fischer-Tropsch process, accumulation of wax on the catalyst is kept <25% (preferably <15%) by withdrawing continuously a suitable proportion of the fluidized suspension as it gravitates down from the reaction vessel, solvent-extracting the wax from the catalyst so removed, and recycling the dewaxed catalyst.
