3483. ----- [STANDARD OIL CO.]  Control of Carbon in Hydrocarbon Synthesis.  British Patent 647,079, 1950.  Fuel Abs., vol. 9, No. 3, 1951, abs. 1781.

Gaseous mixture containing CO, CO2, and H2 is contacted with a fluidized bed of powdered Fe catalyst in a reaction zone at synthesis temperatures and under superatmospheric pressure.  The H2 partial pressure is at least 100 p.s.i. in the reaction zone and that of the CO2 at least 125 p.s.i.  A hydrocarbon product and oxygenated hydrocarbons are recovered from the reaction zone.
