Oily products containing MeOH. obtained by the catalytic hydrogenation of CO. are dehydrated by mixing with benzine and others and separating the hydro carbon layer from the oil layer.  Examples state that the H2O content of the crude oil is reduced from 18% to2.5% and from 20% to 6%.
