Process is given for producing a marketable pipe line fuel gas from Fischer-Tropsch tail gas.  The tail gas is subjected to catalytic gasphase hydrogenation, temperature 650°-850° F. with Fe or Ni catalyst, 500°-750° F. with Co catalyst pressure 100-1,000 p.s.i.  The heating value may be still further increased by removal of H2O and unconverted CO2. 6 United States patents cited.
