3207.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]   [Synthetic Gasoline.]  French Patent 899,045, no date.  Kainer, p. 264.

Cracking of synthetic oils to antiknock gasoline is performed in presence of hydrocarbons with 4-6 C atoms, especially unbranched olefins, and of steam in presence of catalysts consisting of Al hydroxide.  The partial pressure of the seam is at least 3-4 times that of all the hydrocarbons.  The yield of gasoline with an octane number of 97 usable as aviation fuel after addition of tetraethyl Pb is essentially better than when the cracking is done in the presence of the olefins alone or steam alone.  The unbranched gaseous olefins are likewise converted up to 50% into branched.
