3201.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]   [Synthesis of Hydrocarbons.]   French Patent 836,701, Jan. 25, 1939.  Chem. Abs., vol. 33, 1939, p.5410.

In the synthesis of hydrocarbons by catalytic reduction of CO, the gaseous hydrocarbons that are eliminated after condensation of the oils are adsorbed by active charcoal or other agent.  At the commencement of the treatment of the adsorption agent to remove the adsorbed gases, the gas given off contains about 97% of CO2 and this fraction is collected separately as a source of CO2.
