3152.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]  [Production of Lubricants.]  German Patent Appl. R 94,081, PA 568,242, filed Aug. 24, 1935 (CL. IV d-12 o).  FIAT /reek B-196, frames 902-908; PB 83,253.

Liquid product produced by the CO-H2 reaction at 180° and normal pressure over a Co catalyst is separated and the fraction b. > 150° is cracked under 8 atm. pressure and at 493°.  A fraction distilling up to 200° with a specific gravity at 20° of 0.702 is reacted for 48 hr. at --20° with 5% AlCl3.  The reaction product is H2O washed free of catalyst, dried, treated with bleaching earth, and vacuum distilled.  There are obtained per 100 parts of oil, which after separation refrigeration oil, gives 43 parts of a highly valuable lubricating oil (pole height 1.75-1.9, absolute viscosity 12-22 E at 50° and flow point of--32° to--20°).
