3105.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]  [Process for the Catalytic Cracking, Dehydrogenating or Aromatizing of Hydrocarbon Oils.]  German Patent Appl. R 108,779, R 544, filed Nov. 1940 (Cl. IV d-23 b).  TOM Reel 39, bag 3,453, item 1.

Carbon deposits are removed from the catalyst by blowing air heated to about the reaction temperature from top to bottom of the catalyst chamber at the rate of 285-855 m.3 of air per m.3 of catalyst per hr.  The reaction time is such that the removal of the C causes only a slight heating of the catalyst to not more than an average 60°-80°.
