3104.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]  [Process for the Catalytic Conversion of Hydrocarbons,  Particularly Their Dehydrogenation or Aromatization.]  German Patent Appl. --,filed Nov. 20, 1939.  TOM Reel 41, bag 2,744, item 14, 5 pp.

Hydrocarbons are converted in the presence of known catalysts and with regenerative utilization of the heat developed by the combustion of the surface-deposited C by the aid of a converter packing consisting of catalyst substances and refractory heat-storage material, the latter being in granules of the same or nearly the same size as the catalyst and in intimate mixture with it.  An especially suitable mixture is one consisting of 40 parts by volume of catalyst in granules of 2-3 mm. in size and of 60 parts of Fe-free refractory chamotte of 3-4mm. size.
