3101.  --------.  [Process for the Aromatization of Hydrocarbons.]  German Patent Appl. R 103,379, R404, filed Sept. 19, 1938 (Cl. IV d-12 o).  TOM Reel 41, bag 2,744, item 14.3 pp.

In aromatizing aliphatic hydrocarbons in accordance with the method of German Patent 763,831 (abs. 3004), the reaction is continued only until the H2 content of the end gas freed from the liquid reaction products by condensation amounts to at least 80%, and then the catalyst is regenerated by burning with air until the CO2 content of the combustion gas has decreased to 1-5%.  If regeneration is carried too far the activity of the catalyst falls off sharply and recovers very slowly and if not far enough only a partial aromatization is obtained.  After regeneration is completed the catalyst shoudl be treated for a short time with H2.
