3064. -----[RUHRCHEMIE, A.G.] [Process for Producing Catalysts for the Gasoline Synthesis.] German Patent Appl. R 106,936, PA 94,674, filed Feb. 10, 1940 (Cl. IV d-12 o).  FIAT Reel B-196, frames 887-888; PB 83,253.

In producing a catalyst suitable for the catalytic conversion of CO-H2 mixtures by precipitation of the catalytically active substance in the presence of a carrier substance, the solution containing the catalyst substance from foreign materials is freed by precipitation with an alkaline precipitating agent such as soda in the absence of the carrier substance, and finally by precipitation of the catalytically active constituents with the residual precipitating agent in presence of the carrier substance.  To shorten the time during which the carrier substance is in the solution, it is added only after complete or very nearly complete precipitation.
