3059.----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.]  [Process for Producing an Antiknock Motor Fuel.]  German Patent Appl. R 102,106, R 386, filed Apr. 16, 1938 (Cl. IV d-12 o).  TOM Reel 37, bag 3,452, item 35, 4 pp.; TOM Reel 177, frames 1,545-1,548;Meyer Transl. PC-S-II, Fischer-Tropsch, vol. 1, chap, 19, 1948, p. 50.

In the catalytic polymerization of olefin-rich hydrocarbons, particularly those b. 20°-70°, and in presence of phosphoric acid catalysts, temperature and pressure are so adjusted to each other that the reaction products can be subtracted separately in a liquid condition from the input materials.  in the polymerization in the liquid phase, superheated stages are provided between the catalyst layers to convert the input material into the gaseous phase.  The input material is mixed with the unreacted, recycled product, the amount used for the points of the reaction system.  Polymerization is carried out in several steps, preferably with intensification of the polymerization conditions.
