Treatment of olefins with H₂ and CO at 50°-150° C. and 20-300 atm. in presence of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts yields aldehydes, ketones, and alcohols.  The yield is 300-400 gm. per m.³ of 2C₂H₄ : 1CO : 1H₂ gas per pass of 100 1. of gas per 1. of catalyst per hr.
