Gas for the production of fuels according to Fischer-Tropsch method is prepared by transforming hydrocarbons in coke furnaces into H₂and CO and adding blast-furnace gas in such a quantity that the ratio of H₂:CO is 2:1. The blast-furnace gas and the distillation gas are desulfurized before the mixing.
