Oxidation products of solid aliphatic hydrocarbons are separated from unaltered hydrocarbon by centrifuging at a temperature at which the hydrocarbon remains solid. Separated mixtures of the oxidation products may be fractionated by centrifuging at a temperature < the melting point of the mixture. Examples are given.
