Oxidation products of synthetic paraffins or ceresin are taken together with at least 50% of unsaponifiable substances, such as natural or synthetic paraffins or ceresin. The mixture is saponified with an excess of alkali in the presence of a neutral alkali salt, for example, NaCl.
