2058. LINDBLAD, A. R. [Liquid Hydrocarbons.] French Patent 621,145, May 5, 1927; appl. filed Sept. 7, 1926. Chem Zentralb., 1927, II, p. 2637.

Liquid hydrocarbons suitable as fuel are obtained from distillation gases, coke-oven gas, natural gas, or mixtures of these with CO or CO2 and H2 in presence of a catalyst consisting of a metal oxide or a reduced metal, such as Fe, and of an organic liquid compound. The latter may be mixed with the solid catalyst or passed as a gas into the reaction space. The efficiency of the catalyst is improved by adding bases, alkali and NH4-salts, and also NH3 up to 0.1%. The reaction temperature is kept <230°.
