FIAT Reel 164, frames 2,773-2,778; PB 75,107; PB 25,608; Bureau of Mines Transl. T-433, Jan. 1948; Meyer Trans. PC-S-II, Fischer-Tropsch, vol. 7, chap. 183, 1950, p. 4.

Fe is fused with alkalies in a stream of O2. The ferro-ferric oxide is reduced and AS or Sb or their compounds are added. The products consist mainly of saturated hydrocarbons with small amounts of O2-containing products. The efficiency of the catalyst is increased considerably at normal or slightly increased pressure.
