2016. LAUER, K., AND GÄRTNER, H. (Kurt Herberts & Co., formerly Otto L. Herberts). [Powdered Alkaline Earth Salts of Fatty Acids.] German Patent 719,539, Mar. 12, 1942 (Cl. 23 d-4). Chem. Abs., vol. 37, 1943, p. 2017.

Oxidation products of paraffin hydrocarbons containing fatty acids with 8-14 C atoms are dissolved in H2O with the aid of alkalies. The solution is treated with the required alkaline earth salts in aqueous solution and in the presence of an absorbent such as kaolin, terra alba, or green earth. The alkaline earth fatty acid salts are separated in the usual way. These salts are powdered and nonsticky.
