1863. ------. [KITA, G.] [Iron Catalyst for the Gasoline Synthesis.] Italian Patent 373,833, May 22, 1939, Chem. Zentralb., 1940, II, p. 2986.

Hydroxides or carbonates of Fe and Cu are precipitated from solution on kieselguhr by means of alkali (K2CO3) and then converted simultaneously or separately with a small amount of alkali (KOH) and boric acid or its salts. It can previously be activated with Mn or Al2O3. The catalyst can be reduced at synthesis temperature (225°-250°) and produces high yields of gasoline of over 120 cc. per m.3 of synthesis gas.
