1753. ------. [JAEGAR, A. O.] (Selden Co.). Formaldehyde by Catalytic Reaction of Carbon Dioxide With Hydrogen. United States Patent 1,831,179, Nov. 10, 1931; appl. filed Aug. 28, 1925, Serial No. 53,203. Chem. Abs., vol. 26, 1932, p. 737.

CO2 and H2 are caused to react in the presence of catalysts favoring only the formation of CO, and the CO thus formed, without separation from the gas stream, is caused to react with H2 in the presence of mild reduction catalysts associated with an excess of oxidation catalysts. Gives numerous examples.
