1751. ------. [JAEGAR, A. O. ] (Selden Co.). Exothermic Catalytic Reactions. United States Patent 1,972,937, Sept. 11, 1934. Chem. Abs., vol. 28, 1934, p. 6881.

In effecting catalytic reactions in which more heat is produced than that required for preheating the reaction gases from atmospheric temperature, a gas is passed in heat-exchange relation with a catalyst, and a portion only of the gas is brought into heat-exchange relation with a least 1 component of the reaction mixture, and the reaction mixture is subsequently passed over the catalyst at reaction temperature. Describes apparatus.
